⚜️HELP⚜️
King Suryapratap of Virgad was kind and benevolent. A village in his state did not receive rain for a year. There was a drought. In that village there lived a poor farmer named Ram Charan. Due to the famine there was nothing left to eat in his house, the king sent help but the village headman gave the benefit of the help to his own people. When Ram Charan went to seek help, the chief became angry with him, and drove him away. Ram Charan's wife and son starved to death. Then Ramcharan accepted Vairagya and left with a group of sadhus. Sadhus used to beg for alms during the day and at night they used to steal and drink drugs. Due to wrong association, Ramcharan also used to collect money by pretending to be a fake astrologer. He used to travel around all day to gather information about people and use that information to fool the people by disguised as an astrologer at night. When he became famous as an astrologer, King Surya Pratap came to meet him. But before he came he verified his truth, the king realized Ramcharan's real form, the soldiers caught Ramcharan and made him stand before the king, the king asked him the reason for his false behavior, then Ramcharan said, "My lord! If the village headman gives me only two loaves of bread and water from the help you have sent me." Had it been given, my wife and son would have been saved from death. If you did not help and they both starved to death, if they had lived I would never have acted so falsely. What would I look at people's astrology! I could not take care of my family, knowing my pain. Take it. My lord! You sent help but it never reached us. Now I accept the punishment you give." Seeing his truthfulness, the king took cognizance of his crimes and gave him a lenient punishment and then made him the headman of that village and severely punished the old headman.
Moral :- Timely help to the distressed person accomplishes the proper task, otherwise the life of the distressed person is likely to be lost. If someone is in trouble, we must help him.
